GAME PLAY

  1. The first player draws a card from the Good Good Friends deck.
    • Everyone Answers a Group Question: The player who draws the card selects a Group question from his or her own hand.  Each player takes a turn answering the question starting with the person to the left.
    • Answer a Solo Question:  The player who draws the card must answer a Solo question chosen by the person to his or her left.
    • Pick Someone to Answer a Solo Question:  The player who draws the card picks someone to answer a Solo question.
  2. Put all drawn cards in discard piles once they are played. The player who asks the question should draw another Group or Solo card to replace the card used.
  3. Going clockwise players continue to draw cards from the Good Good Friends deck until all Good Good Friends cards have been drawn.

HOW DO YOU WIN? HOW DOES THE GAME END?

Everyone wins!  Everyone wins because you get to know each other better. The game can end three ways:

  1. After all Good Good Friends cards are drawn, the Compliment Circle card is played by placing it on the playing surface and saying “Compliment Circle!”  Starting with the person who played the card, each player gives a compliment to the person on his or her left.
  2. All players can decide to end the game early, and the person whose turn it is plays the Compliment Circle card.
  3. Conversation shifts away from the game with no closure, but with good memories.

TIPS

Number of People: This game is best played with groups of 3 to 5 people.  When there are more than five people it can take a while to get through the questions and may be difficult to keep everyone focused.

Solo/Group Write Your Own Question Cards: These cards are great for adding questions that apply to a specific person or group of people that you know well.  It can be used to bring up fun stories.  You can write questions you would like to try on sticky notes and stick them to the cards.  You can also use a permanent marker to write your question on the card when you know it is one you want to ask for many games to come.
